Literature

I came across to this topic in my life when I was a teenager if I'm not mistaken. Its about literature. I learned it at school but I didn't take it seriously. I didn't see the importance of this subject to me until I entered into my working days.

At first I don't really understand why people learn about it. Why learn about literature? Yeah typical of me until I learned it myself that life is all about seeing what we cannot see. Literature as for me is something like that. Something that is subjective. Something that have no one correct answer. One word has multiple meanings.

"Literature is the art of written works" quoted in Wikipedia. And also its like a culture or a custom where it is a very subjective in nature. How its written is influence by this type of nature.

But then, I found out that this topic is very interesting. People should know about literature and learn about it. Even though I never studied deeply into this topic, to look at it differently studying literature gave me the understanding to think out of the box. And even life that is changing all the time. The future that we don't know what will going to happen.

One of the books in literature that I read is written by Paulo Coelho and it gave me the insight of what world and life is like. The writer puts the words in a beautiful and organized manner. One of my favorite is The Alchemist.

After all our mind can create anything out of it... can't it?

this entry reminds me of something actually..
when i was young,i hate literature as much as i hate the history!..by the end of the day, scoring well in exams just for the sake of grade didnt beneficial to myself..
but as time goes on..i started to see, history is something that shapes the culture and nations...it is very essential for youths to know from the root itself what shaped a civilisation..and, how is it related to literature?
most of our great islamic and scholastic thinkers those days were actually philosophers..hujjatul Islam-Imam Al-Ghazali (Al-Gazel), Al-Farabi..etc...even the founder of medicine, a Persian scholar Avicinna was a philosopher!. --serba sikit..just to share.
